Strength In Relief Medical Center
In 2020 the doors to my private clinic opened. Pain has a societal association with weakness. Many of the individuals we treat come to us with the belief that being in chronic pain means they are not strong. Pain has taken their strength, both physically and mentally. One of the tenants of Strength In Relief Clinics is that pain does not have to mean you’re weak. The people we help regain trust in their bodies, regain physical and mental strength, and discover and rediscover their own “True North.”
Who We Treat
While our medical group opens its arms to any individual with chronic, severe pain, our “True North” at Strength In Relief Clinics is helping those struggling with cancer and other debilitating illnesses. We understand that no two people are the same. Our holistic approach to healthcare is aimed at helping each patient discover a better quality of life, free from the confines of pain.

Meet Our Team
Annas Aljassem MD, MHSA
Medical director of Strength IN Relief Clinic.
I am currently working in the department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, leading the Functional Pain & Rehabilitation Service at Beaumont Royal oak in Michigan. The service is an interdisciplinary team, managing acute pain & chronic pain, addiction, end of life care and rehabilitation issues in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
I completed my residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Michigan. I then completed a Hospice and Palliative Care (HPM) Fellowship at the University of Michigan. My training in these respective fields led to the development of a passion for communication and program implementation, with a strong interest in patient and family-centered care. I carry multiple board certifications in the following specialties: PM&R, Hospice & Palliative Medicine (HPM), Pain Medicine, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Addiction Medicine. What this clinical expertise has provided me with is a broad understanding of complex symptom management in various patient populations, which I feel has allowed me to connect with various specialties outside of my own. I have had the privilege to work side by side with many - surgeons, hospitalists, intensivists, oncologists, obstetricians, pediatricians, radiologists, internists, and multiple medicine & surgery subspecialists, to name a few.
